Works Wonderful for the ChurchNovember 23, 2008 We bought this as the Church that my husband is Associate Pastor at (he only speaks once a month) didn't have a PA system and he speaks quitely. We bought it and now everyone can hear him clearly. Our daughter borrowed it for a softball team raffle also and thought it was GREAT!
Great for outdoor wedding receptionJuly 12, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I was a little worried this wouldn't be powerful enough for our outdoor tented wedding reception (100 people), but it worked really well. Could also be used as an amp for a guitar or keyboard.
A few problemsDecember 26, 2007 7 out of 7 found this review helpful
Well, I purchased two of these units to use at car shows. The unit comes with a wireless mike which has pretty decent range (about 75 feet) and the audio is fair to good. Problem is that the squelch system that mutes the speaker when there is no signal present is intermittent. Sometimes it's open and allows noise to come through when the mike is shut off. Both units act the same way. I have since modified the mikes so that they cannot be powered down. (except by removing the battery) This way a signal is present all the time and the unit does not create noise in the absence of a wireless mike signal. (The audio on/off function on the side of the mike still operates) The units have a receiver built into the speaker but no external controls to allow squelch adjustment. When music is played through the speakers, the dynamic range is what I would describe as "fair". As long as the music is not played to loud the audio fidelity seems to be fairly reasonable. For this reason, I doubt the manufactures power output claim. When music is played at higher levels the audio suffers severe distortion.

Pyle Pro Portable PA SystemNovember 11, 2006 9 out of 9 found this review helpful
I was trying to decide between this 200watt system or one of the 25-35watt systems. I settled for this one and was impressed with the sound. I have a workshop to present in two weeks and wanted to amp the presentation with something louder than my voice. The test run so far was impressive. I was a bit surprised at how small the system was, but it packed some serious sound and quite versitle. I like it. Its worth the price and looks professional.
