VERY NICE GUITAR, YOU DO HAVE TO PUT NEW STRINGS ON , THE ONES IT CAME WITH BUZZED, CHEAP STRINGS. I WAX IT UP BOY IT LOOKS LIKE A HIGH END GUITAR. I HAVE BACK TROUBLES AND MY OTHER GUITARS HAVE SOME WEIGHT TO THEM, THIS GUITAR IS JUST RIGHT I,LL USE IT MORE FOR A ROOM GUITAR AMP IS NICE FOR THE MONEY GOOD FOR SMALL ROOM. STRAP IS LOW END PUT WILL GET YOU STARTED, THE TUNER WELL GET ANOTHER ONE. GIG BAG IS VERY TIGHT, IT JUST FITS NO KIDDING SO YOU MIGHT WHAT TO GET ANOTHER. I GAVE IT 5 STARS FOR WHAT 99.00 GETS YOU A REALLY NICE GUITAR NOT THE BEST BUT NICE IT SOUNDS GREAT IT.S EASY TO USE NICE FOR ROOM OR GIG, BUT IF YOU GET AS GOOD AS GEORGE HARRISON YOU MIGHT CHANGE UP TO A TOP OF THE LINE LP. The Epiphone Les Paul Jr. is a strange little guitar. I've seen and played these things quite a bit. In the hands of an experienced luthier, or at least someone who knows how to set up a guitar, these can become a fantastic playing guitar. On show floors, I've picked these things up (straight out of the box) and experienced a wide variety of playability from the guitar.
Other things to consider as well, is that this is a 100 dollar pack that includes an amp, the guitar is most definately not going to have been meticulously set up and won't be made out of AAA maple and Swamp Ash, you'd be lucky if the neck were real maple and the body wasn't a chip-board material, which Epiphone does deliver. The neck is rock-maple with an indonesian rosewood fretboard and an agathis body, a standard affair on higher end budget guitars. This actually makes the guitar sound rather good acoustically.
Also, think about the electronics, it is a $100 guitar. If you consider how much a nice humbucking pickup usually costs (between $60-120), just having a pickup at all is nice.
But, for a beginner, this guitar is a pretty good choice. You don't need a mahagony body with a AAA maple neck with a north american rosewood fretboard and 1957 P.A.F. reissue pickups when you don't know the differance between the pickups and the knobs.

sure this guitar looks cool but it isnt that good to play i do not recomand this to kids or adults of any age if you are just a colector and do not play this would be a very good guitar

This is a good guitar for begginers to brag "I have a Les Paul". The Les Paul is the most prized guitar out there and a strat as they are the two "Classic" guitars out there.
This guitar has pick ups...Les pauls sound much better with humbuckers a warmer tone.Although pick ups are fine.The Color variation lacks compared to a real les paul.
What do i mean real les paul.Yep,this is not a real les paul in terms.Epiphone is a lower branch of Gibson the creators of the treasurly les paul.Hey a real one is in its thousands so if you don't wanna shell out alot of money buy an epiphone les paul.It doesn't mean epiphone lacks class as there guitars are good standard guitars.This is a les paul junior keep in mind the frets are smaller and action is lessoned for big hand people.AKA sasuge fingers.
The neck for the most part is nice for the price paid and the tone is nice.Begginers will love this and experts will despise this.
