The only downside is it is very light & thus may not be as stable as some heftier stands, so as long as kids or pets aren't running around, you should be fine.
guitar stand well worth the penniesOctober 19, 2008 great guitar stand for the cost. does have a slight smell, but eventually goes away. For the cost much better than leaning your costly guitar against the wall and having it fall. I bought 2 and intend to buy more.
