I only gave a 1 star here because I'm not rating this player just letting people know that there is a new version of this player that's out now it's the DN191H it has a 14 in 2 card reader still slot loading I got it for $129.00 at best buy, will try it out next week and see how things go....It lists as having 14 bit dacs...and it is listed on their web site now.
Better than expectedMarch 26, 2006 This is a great player if you want to stay in this price range around $150.00.It has a great picture on my LCD tv,and the sound is really good to,it has one heck of a zoom feature on it that I was impressed with and usally zoom means nothing to me but this one is really cool.If you want simple to hook up with barely having to glance at a instrual manual this is the one,seriously just plug it in spend maybe 3 or 4min. with the manual and you will never need it again,some people prefer more complicated dvd player I am maybe one of them,but if you prefer simple you cant go wrong with this 720p/1080i up converting dvd player.I only give it 4 stars for the lack of menu options otherwise(picture and sound) its a 5 star.Great buy

I first got the Toshiba Divx player which I returned within a week becuse of the freezing problem. The LG is just great, playing all different formats, great sound (especially via optical fiber output), great image, outstanding HD upconversion, it's also great having the multicard reader!! The only con is that it doesn't tell you how long is left to finish the movie Really worth it!!! LG well done guys!!!
