Great for kids who like ElmoAugust 13, 2008 I got this for my kids when they were about 9 months old and they both liked it so much they were constantly wanting to play with it, of course, many times at the same time. They especially like the fact the the eyes opened and closed with the phone. They are 2 now and still play with the phone.
Elmos world talking cell phone. You can raise the volume..December 2, 2007 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I bought this phone for my daughter and she loved it before I pulled out the tab for the volume. At first I thought it was broken until I read the directions. But there is a solution if you want to turn the volume back up. Just put a small piece of cardboard into the slot (make sure to cut it off at the end so it doesnt stick out) and it works! Just thought I would share it other moms who were also disapointed with the volume issue.

My Grand Daughter simply LOVES this phone! Her eyes just light up when she opened it on Christmas morning. She walks around all day talking to Elmo. This was a GREAT gift!
Great toy once you can hear itNovember 7, 2006 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I had seen this toy before and forgot once I bought it for my son how quiet it was out of the package. What a disappointment! I would encourage you to buy it, just "fix" it once you get it if you want to actually hear it. I took a plastic tab you use to label hanging files and cut it to fit in the hole that made it loud while it was in the box (on the top back of the phone)and it makes it loud again. Of course, there is a safety factor to make sure whatever you put in doesn't come out because it's small. And there's also the fact that now it's loud but if I find it to be too loud I'll just take it apart and put some tape over the speaker.
6 month old L-O-V-E-S thisSeptember 26, 2006 I grabbed the phone in the grocery store for 5 dollars. One of the best 5 dollar investments I ever made. Our daughter absolutely loves this phone. The voice is at a nice even tone so she won't be startled or frightened. The little Elmo song is so adorable when you open the phone. My daughter smiles when she hears it.

The 5.1 channel home-theater-in-a-box system features five tiny speakers - each about the size of a golf ball. The system, matched with a compact, single disc DVD/CD player/receiver, includes a unique subwoofer that helps the tiny speakers create sounds typically reserved for full size speakers.
While the system features small speakers, it packs all the power of conventional home theater-in-a-box systems with 450 watts of total system power (satellite speakers 50W x 5, plus 2-way subwoofer 100W x 2). The system is specially tuned to deliver a natural sound field that takes the focus off the subwoofer while supplementing mid range and lower frequencies.
