Great Sirius SoundNovember 12, 2008 I was very surprised what great sound this boombox put out. It was crystal clear. Great product, great price!
Basic Boom BoxOctober 12, 2008 This is a very basic speaker box, no controls other than volume. The volume control is not really friendly, but the remote from my Sportster works the volume on the box. That said the unit does sound very good when attached to Sirius receiver or my iPod. This thing is also a battery pig, 12 hours at a very quiet level over 3 days and dead, not very economical for 8 Duracell D-size.
Boom BoxOctober 3, 2008 Amazon is wonderful in providing anything when I decide to purchase. Fast, easy to find things, reliable. The boom box sounds fantastic.
Sirius SUB X1September 16, 2008 I purchase the Sirius SUB-X1 Universal Plug n Play Boombox to listen to NASCAR Station Sirius 128. I have been very much please with this product as a radio. With the use of the remote from the SP-5 Receiver. The antenna is another issue, as stated in a earlier review, that there is a huge receiption problem (at least on the east coast)with the antenna that comes with the radio. I to found the best antenna is the radio antenna that came with the SP-5 Receiver. The Model Number on the back of this antenna is SIR-3.3RCTMOB05. Once I started using this anetenna it solved my reception problems.
Great unit, but no remote!September 11, 2008 I recently purchashed a Sub-X1 to replace my Orbiter boombox and Orb reciver. It sounds great. The only technical problem I have with it, is due to my location.(no real clear view of the sky). But I am disapointed that it didn't come with a remote control. My old Orbiter was ideal because of the remote feature. Being a lazy sort of guy, It was nice not to have to get up to change channels or turn the unit on or off. So may I offer a sugestion to Sirius. Make a universal remote for your recivers and boomboxes.
