TA-RW255December 1, 2008 I bought this deck to replace my old Sony deck that died after 17 years. The Onkyo TA-RW255 I have is barely beyond the warranty period of 1 year and it is already showing problems. Tape Deck A does not work any more. I can still use Deck B to play. With this kind of quality I am not buying another Onkyo product any time soon.

Got this unit from Vann's and A deck (play, not record deck)stopped working after about three weeks. Vann's (great place) replaced it. Second unit worked for about two months and then A deck went again. Enough said.

would rather buy a good 3 head deck like the old days, but this does what I need it to do, play a bunch of old cassettes. Sounds good

Onkyo TARW255 Dual well Tape Deck The deck was a little larger than I expected. I tried hooking to my computer but didn't get a good copy on my computer using VISTA media copy. I hooked this deck to my home sound system and found that my old cassette tapes produced excellent sound with this player. With the dual deck and auto reverse my copy idea was replaced by listening to my old cassettes on my good sound system. I am pleased with the player.
