Great deal............... paid $127December 3, 2008 After extensive online shopping and reading reviews we purchased this GPS. It is sleek and cool mounting design and we love the views of the highway lanes when it comes to an interchange. The touchscreen navigates quickly and is easy to use. We read the reviews regarding the volume issue and thought they were just being picky---- they were not.... the volume is definately a drawback. Windows closed and music turned way down to hear her. It also takes longer than we expected to turn on and get signal. We would make this purchase again though, great value for the money and the drawbacks are workable.
Navigon 5100November 26, 2008 I got this gps for Christmas last year. I use it pretty frequently all across the USA on vacations and such. I never have got lost or turned around with my Navigon. I am not good with directions and my Navigon never fails me to get me where I need to go. You can compare the directions it wants to take you compared to google or mapquest and change them as needed. Very user friendly with a nice night and day verison so it doesnt blind you at night. Just from last year to now I have received at least 3 updates from Navigon via email to update my gps. The updates are great to keep the device up to date with the latest maps and traffic conditions. The only thing I wish was different was the volume. I wish it was just a little bit louder since the speaker is on the back of it. Other then that I highly recommend this gps over any other one out there. It tells you what specific street to turn on unlike the rest that just tell you to turn left or right.
Easily the best for its categoryNovember 25, 2008 If you want an outstanding navigation unit with great directions that are easy to follow, this is it. It even gives u live traffic updates for free. You just cant beat this little guy. If you want something super fancy, then pay 5 times as much. by the way, the smaller screen size is NOT a problem. It will tell you every turn in planty of time and even tell you what lane to be in.
Perfect entry-level GPSNovember 19, 2008 This is a great little GPS. It works well, as I'm sure most do, it has free traffic updates for life, it speaks the names pretty well and the graphics look great as well. Very pleased.
Really good Navi, but...November 2, 2008 Don't get me wrong, I really like this Navi and I think it's really all the navi you'd need. But then in the middle of a trip, right before that complicated intersection... it crashed and had to be rebooted - 5 minutes and the complicated intersection later it's back on and perfect again. I would still recommend it and buy it again.
