Tune your car's FM radio to one of the 8 preset stations indicated on RadioPlay's channel selector (choose the station that offers the least interference). Select the same station on RadioPlay, press play on your portable device and your music will transmit wirelessly to your car stereo. The one-touch station selector makes changing stations a breeze (especially when required due to interference caused by terrain or radio station bleed-over).With so many ways to build your MP3 and DVD collections, it would be a shame if you couldn't listen to all of it in your car. Works...decently.December 1, 2008 This transmitter works pretty well, I live in a fairly large city and when I am anywhere near the city, there is a lot of interference. Sometimes vehicles drive by that have their own transmitter working and it overpowers my signal, so I get their transmission clearer than my own signal. Today, after 4 months of owning it, it has stopped broadcasting the signal to my left speakers, so I am only getting sound on the right side. You get what you pay for.
It's OK.November 17, 2008 It gets the job done if you are not in the market to buy a new car with an MP3 jack anytime soon, but I guess it depends on how picky you are. You need to turn the volume up all the way on your mp3 player and the car volume up all the way just to get the volume up to a reasonable level (like talking loudly), and there is some static in the background on all of the channels but not to bad. Cable seems thick and of good quality.
Great if the frequency is clearNovember 10, 2008 Before you buy make sure one of the frequencies that this device transmits on is free from interference from other stations. If so the sound quality is equivalent to FM radio, but if not you will likely hear scratchy static especially during quiet songs. I set my mp3 player on my dashboard so the transmitter is as close as possible to the radio which improves the signal. Also make sure you have the sound turned all the way up on your player.
fmOctober 24, 2008 This transmitter works will if your car is older and a need to play ipod or xm radio though speakers!
Far exceeded my expectations!October 22, 2008 I was skeptical about getting an FM transmitter after reading many many opinions and reviews about transmitters in general, not just this model. But I have not been let down yet. The sound is crystal clear, no static, no interference. Have tried it in more than 3 different vehicles, no problems at all. Very happy.
