Love This Player!April 2, 2008 I bought this player for my 6 year old daughter to use in the car. It's simple for her to use. It does get warm when in use for a while. Also, if it's left in the car when warm, (AZ summer heat) it will not play a dvd. We have had to use the one year manufacturer's warranty, which was a smooth process and had a quick turnaround time. The player quit playing dvd's after a few months. I figure it had more to do with my daughter dropping it on the cement and tile than the product being faulty. The only thing I wish was that it could be used on an airplane. We have an upcoming 4 1/2 hour flight and it would be quite useful. Overall, I like this player.
Very Poor productMay 30, 2007 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
This product works well in the first few months if you're lucky. Then the picture goes out. If you return it to the manufacturer, it will take months to get it back. The warranty is only good for 30 days. Please invest your money in another "portable" DVD player.
movies that pauseJanuary 9, 2007 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
The item was very attractive but once playing during the movie it would pause/stop and I had to either push play/advance forward to get it to continue the movie. It also got very warm while playing. Overall the delivery was very prompt and the item was very well insulated. Would buy online from
Description misleading!December 16, 2006 7 out of 7 found this review helpful
I agree with Pinkerton, description very misleading. I want to return this for the same reason!!! Says its good for walking, riding, etc. Yea, with a loooooong extension cord! Doesn't run on batteries! only car DC or AC!
Not PortableOctober 21, 2006 18 out of 18 found this review helpful
I bought this "portable" DVD player that bills itself as being the perfect solution for watching DVD's "on-the-go." Unfortunately, as of the time I purchased it, the description fails to note that it must be plugged into a wall outlet or car power source. Thus, it won't work on a plane, and if you use it in a car, you apparently have to run the cord up front to the power supply. I think the name and description of this product is misleading. The documentation states that you can buy a universal battery pack, but that would increase the cost substantially.
To be fair, the return process for the third-party seller is going smoothly, and after a bit of resistance, they have also agreed to reimburse the shipping costs for this item.
