Amazon.com Product Description The Griffin iClear hard-shell case provides invisible polycarbonate protection for your iPod Touch. Strong enough for the daily abuse of an active lifestyle, the transparent and unobtrusive design protects the iPod with a tough, polycarbonate two-piece shell. And yet, you have total access to the iPod's control wheel, audio jack, on switch, USB port, and LED. Installation is quick and easy--the iPod drops into the iClear's front casing, and the rear section snaps into place.
What's in the Box: iClear case, static peel screen protector, and premium cleaning cloth.
This is no good.October 25, 2008 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
It doesn't fit the new iTouch which, I would assume, makes it almost useless at this point. The case itself is fine, but now I have to pay extra money for shipping so I can get one that does work with iTouch 2. I think they should make a point of that in the description, because I just completely wasted my time.
Well designed, a little too hard to openOctober 24, 2008 I've had this case for a few weeks and it seems to be very durable. I haven't dropped it much though, since I got a single piece of fuzz under the included screen protector and ruined it after attempting to clean it off... so I've been rather careful with my iTouch. Get as close to clean-room conditions as you can when you're applying that thing!
However, removing the case is rather difficult and ends up gouging the notch you insert the coin into. I'm not really looking forward to adding a new screen protector. That said, it is a touch screen device and that tends to make things more complicated.
Bottom line: does what it says it does, but no stellar qualities.
...October 24, 2008 It wasn't good for my ipod. The length was slightly short so I couldn't be sealed completely.
i i i i NOT clearOctober 17, 2008 As the 1st reviewer said the back is not clear it's opaque !! Further it has the word Griffin on it. If you're interested in just a protective case this one might be ok or a soft silicon one might be better. If you'd like to see your iPod perhaps with a skin on it like mine has I'd suggest looking at Tuneware's Tuneshell product.
It has Tuneware written on the back of it but it does appear to be clear.
Protect and Showcase your iPodSeptember 30, 2008 Got this product several weeks ago; it works perfectly, I've dropped my ipod a few times, no scratches and the case held up. It's a great protective case if you don't want to camouflage your iPod but still want to protect it.
However, if you use the dock, my ipod won't sit on the dock anymore, I have to unplug the cord from the base and connect it, which is kind of a drag, but regular connectors still fit easily and I haven't had any problems with my car adapter.
Plus, it's the cheapest price I saw from several stores I looked at before buying at Amazon.
