Great Product, Fast shipping!November 30, 2008 It was the first time I bought something from this seller and definitely recommend it. The product was in great conditions and the shipping was fast.
Not very durable...November 30, 2008 Although I didn't buy these, they're the exact same ones that came with my second generation ipod Touch. I've had them for 3 days, and now the left head phone/ear bud makes this aggrevating buzzing noise when I play music. And judging from these other reviews, I'm evetually going to have to invest in a new pair. A good thing from this situation is now I can only use my right ear bud, and I look cool. But these ear buds have pretty good sound qaulity (only problem is that the left one is messed up!), and they can get pretty loud. But they're not noise cancelling, so I have to blare it to the loudest volume to not hear anything around me. Oh well, I just found these good looking headphones for about 6 dollars.
Advertise WrongNovember 3, 2008 The device was advertised as for Iphone. But the headset wasn't the Iphone headset with the microphone. If you want to answer a call while you listening to music it will not allow you to. This is an Ipod headset not Iphone.
It's like these were made in a sweatshop.October 23, 2008 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
When I first got an ipod, I was told that these earbuds would be the best earbuds that I would ever own, and I could see why. I loved the sound quality and the way they fit in my ears. However, after just a few months of normal use, the jack deteriorated, and I lost my sound! So having as much faith as I did in these headphones I bought them again, and the same thing happened.
Since then, I have been through 4 of these because they all have the same problem after a few months. With the most recent pair, I even took extra care of them to prevent this problem from happening again, but they fell apart, same as usual. I guess I really wanted to believe that apple made superior earbuds, but I can see now that that's far from the truth.
I've bought each apple ear bud model at least once. They are all the SAME and they're all junk! I ordered a pair of Bose for my next pair. Maybe throwing more money at this will fix the situation. we'll see how it goes.
Durability issues taint this otherwise good product.October 18, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I'm on my second pair of iPod earbuds...
First, the plusses:
1) Sound quality is adequate. 2) They fit comfortably in my ears and remain seated there even during heavy exercise/running. 3) The small, sliding, rubber-covered plastic piece on the cords leading to the earbuds allows you to determine how far apart you want the ear buds to be...nice for exercising...and you can slide that same piece all the way up to the buds, thus pulling them together so the cords are a lot less likely to get all tangled up between uses.
Second, the minuses:
1) After 4-6 months the rubber outer edge of the buds starts to peel off. This has happened to both pairs of iPod earbuds that I've owned. 2) Within 12-18 months one of the speakers got fainter and fainter, and the same thing happened to my daughter's within about 18 mos, but hers went completely dead. I'm hoping for better luck on this 2nd pair...so far so good. 3) The plastic wire cover near the jack will crack and expose wires unless you are very careful with this unit (which I am). I haven't had that problem, but that happened to the ear buds of two other people in my family. 4) Price - I expect a more durable product at $30 a pair.
The main reason I got a 2nd pair was to see if the durability issues of my first pair were a fluke. Well, I'm now less than 6 mos into my 2nd pair and the rubber is peeling off! I hope the sound quality hangs around!
To sum up...the earbuds have nice styling, are more comfortable in my ears than the other basic style of iPod ear buds, but the price and lack of durability cause my overall rating to take a big hit.
I'd award this product 4 stars, even with the $30 price tag if it were more durable. The lack of durability, though, results in a 2-start drop in my opinion.
