Remote is garbage/poor quality controlDecember 25, 2008 The remote on this thing is absolutely garbage. It feels cheap and flimsy. It also worked only for volume and had absolutely no advanced functionality (menu scrolling/play-pause/etc) with my 3rd generation Nano, which has all the latest firmware and runs off Itunes 8. This is a well documented problem (just search for it). It's not a compatibility issue with the 3rd gen Ipod because I've read reviews from other people with the same Ipods where the remote works just fine.
The problem is that the quality is terrible. I've since noticed that there are many other problems with this device being reported as well. Logitech needs to give its quality controls a serious review.
Great Product!December 13, 2008 I got my Logitech Pure-Fi Anywhere speaker system as a gift for Christmas 2007 and absolutely love it. It sounds great, is easy to use and is very portable. Even a year later, the battery keeps it's charge for 10+ hours - and I use it a lot. I highly recommend it.
WOWDecember 12, 2008 The Logitech Pure-fi is amazing. For how compact this little system is it puts out amazing sound. Charges your ipod, remote works from 18 feet for me. You can put this thing anywhere if you remove the wired power adapter. Plays for 10-15 hours minimum when charged. A great buy! Ive heard bose and I like this one better, especially at the price.
Sound fantastic, when it works properlyDecember 5, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I opened the Pure-Fi out of the box and plopped my iPod on. Right off the bat, I thought the unit was defective as every button on the Pure-Fi console worked except for the volume increase button. I then took the remote control it came with and was able to increase AND decrease the volume.
Whenever I turn it off and back on however, if I attempt to play my iPod through it, the sound is great when it's working, but oftentimes, it's almost as if the speakers are waiting for the iPod to warm up before an acceptable volume is output. i can press the volume increase button but the sound level won't change instantly -- instead, as a song is playing, the sound will get gradually louder and louder until it becomes too loud, at which point I pull the iPod off the dock, turn off the Pure-fi, reseat the iPod again, and I can then adjust sound levels to my heart's content and see instant results.
great productDecember 2, 2008 This speaker system is great and so portable. The sound qualitiy that comes out of it is great.
