Sounds great!October 25, 2008 ...but that's about it. It shuts down the Ipod very quickly to "save the battery" because it runs on battery while docked and playing (not cool). It shut off so well it completely froze my Ipod, so I tried letting the battery run down and when I plugged it back in it started working again, thankfully.
As obnoxious as the antenna's are they don't work that well...and I felt annoyed at the controls.
One star, the sound exceeded my expectations and the return was simple.
Unusable as an alarm clockAugust 17, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I wish I would have read the previous review about the alarm clock issue before buying this...
It's not limited to using an iPod. Waking to the radio has the same problem. Within 5 seconds, this thing will be playing full blast. You have 2 options, snooze or turn the alarm off. Pressing the volume button is the same as snooze. There is no way you can wake to music because of this volume issue.
Works abolutely pefectJuly 15, 2008 Has spend quite a while trying to choose the right one. And even after I have ordered this one - I was not really sure that I have done the right thing. Not until I have unpacked it, installed and tried it. I was very pleasently surprised by the qaulity of its sound and radio reception, and absolutely excited by its looks. And very, very pleased. The overall quality is more than satisfactory. Good buy. Btw - I am using it with both Nano3G and iTouch and works with both flawlesly.
Don't buy if you want to use an ipod as the alarmMay 15, 2008 9 out of 10 found this review helpful
This product has a hugh design flaw. When you use the ipod as the source of music for the alarm clock, you can't control the volume. When the time comes for the alarm to go, the ipod turns on and the music plays with the volume rapidly rising to the full volume output. You can't control the maximum volume; thus, you will be blasted out of your bed and your neighbors will wonder why you are doing this. I called customer support at Macally and they acknowledge that this is a design flaw and there is nothing that can be done about it by the user. Save yourself the trouble--if you don't buy this you won't have to return it.
Ours was junkMay 1, 2008 1 out of 4 found this review helpful
didn't work as advertisied, poorly designed, on the fritz from day we got it (maybe just a lemon) and soon stopped working (after about 2 months). STRONGLY recommend you look at the Alect Lansing iM600
