Amazon.com Product Description The Garmin Automotive Suction Cup Mount is specially designed to help you safely and securely mount the Rino series of Global Positioning System-enabled handheld devices to an inside glass surface of your car. This mount adheres to the inside of the windshield or window and lets you quickly snap the Rino into place. For added convenience, the bracket arm is hinged, so you can adjust the unit away from direct sunlight. It's easy to use: to attach the suction cup to a glass surface, simply hold it up to the surface, then press the small lever at the back of the suction cup.
Excellent for its intended purpose...November 14, 2008 This product works great. The one thing I did not notice reading about it is that it would allow me to hear the voice of my Zumo 450. It does require the use of the Garmin auto plug.

Is the 12-volt vehicle DC power adaptater being a subset of the automotive suction cup mount for Zumo ?.

Can't mate the mount properly to my Zumo 450. I get no sound, even plugged in. I believed the connection would do that.
Gotta Have ItOctober 15, 2007 7 out of 7 found this review helpful
If you don't have this "auto mount" for your motorcycle inclined Zumo 450/550 then you "gotta have it". This lets you very easily swap that Zumo between your bike and your car. Unlike other GPS "suction cup" mounts, this one "works". Garmin definitely did their homework on this mount and came up with a "no fail" suction device. It "holds" until you release it. I use my Zumo on every bike ride, however, it is in my car on every "road trip". My Zumo never lets me down. I don't even bother to bring an atlas or maps any more. Zumo "Jill" is all I need. Yea, get this mount.
Expensive but goodOctober 1, 2007 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I had to get this so I could mount my Zumi in my car. It is a shame that Garmin could not just create a suction cup to attach to the motorcycle mount. But that would not earn them the money that selling an entirely new mount and power cable does (the power cable from the motorcycle mount does not fit the car mount). The complaining aside, the mount is of good quality and easily attaches to the windshield. And it stays. The mount does supply the built-in speaker that the Zumi lacks. However, the speaker is small and does not provide the best of sound. It is adequate for the spoken GPS directions but is not of much use for the MP3 player. If you are going to use the MP3 player in your car you are better using one of the FM transmitters and playing it thru your car radio. 4 stars due to the weak speaker.
