IBOOM TRAVEL, NOT WORTH THE MONEYNovember 10, 2007 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I recently bought this unit. I was excited to try it, but I was very disappointed by the looks, it looks like a child's toy, the volume is distorted if played too loud or its not very loud at all if you lower it down. I followed the instructions, but apparently there is not much I can do, even if I play the unit at a different location to avoid interference. Overall, I am not pleased with the volume. It sounds terrible to include static. Not worth your money, find other altenatives for your IPOD.
DLO iBoom Travel Clock RadioJuly 5, 2007 4 out of 5 found this review helpful
I totally agree with the previous comments. The iPod charger and docking station work great with the iPod but the radio station tuning is poor and full of static. It wants to have my hand act as an antenna and the object is not to sleep with my hand on the clock radio to ensure reception. Took a number of times to get the memory to hold my pre-selected radio stations.
For how much it costs, I would have hoped the FM radio would work much better than it is performing. I probably will return it.
IBoom Travel Clock Radio/Speaker System for iPodMay 28, 2007 4 out of 5 found this review helpful
1. iPod portion works well given size of device. 2. FM Radio quality is poor - tuner is weak and few stations come in without static. Some barely can be heard and not worth listening to. No facility to add external antenna to improve reception. 3. Device rattles with loose part/solder? when turned any which way. 4. Size of print in manual is way too small. 5. Instructions for setting preset stations need clarification. Should say - 'Press MEM button to select the preset number (1, 2, 3, or 4); then find the station you want to be representated by this preset number, then press MEM for about 2 seconds until the 'mem' appears on the LCD display.

The 5.1 channel home-theater-in-a-box system features five tiny speakers - each about the size of a golf ball. The system, matched with a compact, single disc DVD/CD player/receiver, includes a unique subwoofer that helps the tiny speakers create sounds typically reserved for full size speakers.
While the system features small speakers, it packs all the power of conventional home theater-in-a-box systems with 450 watts of total system power (satellite speakers 50W x 5, plus 2-way subwoofer 100W x 2). The system is specially tuned to deliver a natural sound field that takes the focus off the subwoofer while supplementing mid range and lower frequencies.
