Would purchase againJanuary 6, 2009 I bought this product to take to cookouts, beach, move from room to room, etc. The battery seems to hold its charge well and the sound is pretty good. I somehow misplaced the case and am looking for a new one but I don't seem to be able to find one by itself.

I recently received and almost immediately returned a JBL On Stage III due to many problems with it's functionality. I got this unit in exchange and I just have to say I am really impressed with the Pure-Fi Anywhere 2 on many levels. As far as the pro's go: the unit sounds great, the volume and sound quality are great for my needs. It has an internal, rechargeable battery that lasts and lasts, great remote controlling, and an impressive and very handy collection of ipod "seat" adapters for the unit's connector. Nice carrying case included. I really don't have any negative things to say about this product. After doing a fair amount of research, I consider this product to be the best mp3 player speaker system in this price range. Highly recommended.

I have experienced several of the issues being reported about this product: Intermittently just turns itself off. It has also caused on of my Nanos to freeze in the ON position after being stored on the plugged-in unit for a couple of days. I had to implement a RESTORE just to turn it off (Yes, my iPods and iTunes all have the latest upgrades). My SHUFFLE button does not seem to function, and its light does not come on when pushed. If you read the fine print in the instructions you will discover that the rechargeable battery is NOT replaceable. Better hope yours doesn't fail early or end up having a small number of charge cycles. I suppose one can't expect much for a hundred bucks in today's throw-away culture, but as a 25-year user of Logitech products, I would rate this one as being the worst I've come across. Too bad, as the sound is pretty decent at modest volume levels, and the remote works pretty well, if you can figure out how to use it. It has an iPod-clickwheel-look-alike design, but operates differently. You will make a lot of errors when trying to operate it.
love love loveDecember 30, 2008 My son was always borrowing my Bose speaker for the iPod. So, I bought this one for him and it sounds just as good to both of us. If I were to repurchase for myself, I would buy this instead of the expensive Bose (which broke in less than 2 years). Bought another one for my other child. Love this.

I received this as a gift. I like that it is small, compact, can be moved around a lot and has a nice remote, with repeat functions, etc. easy to use. However, if you listen to rock music, it's not great as you cannot control EQ with it, ie., give it a lot of bass. I have to keep the volume down or else it gets a "tinny" sound. But overall, for the money it's a nice item. I would try to listen to one before you buy it.
