Pinball at its bestJanuary 6, 2009 Great game-especially given the low price. Really simulates pinball --even allows you to shake the machine. Really happy with the purchase.
graphics and the camera angles could be betterJanuary 5, 2009 game play is great the different machines are great. I wish I could see the tables a little more clearly. With some tables there is alot going on with colors, bumpers and flashing lights and it can be a little confusing to see what or where to go with the ball.
I paid $15 and it is one of my favorite games to go back and play, so overall its a great deal.
Awesome replicas of original classic gamesJanuary 5, 2009 If you liked playing pinball in the 1970's to 1990's you'll love this game. I have not yet seen a better implementation of pinball on the video screen. The whole family loves it.
I can remember trying games on the PC years ago and trying to use the keyboard to control the flippers. Not the same.
The wii controllers are excellent. The nudging of the controllers to nudge the machine is very realistic.
The sounds and graphics are great. I am using the component video cable and an HDTV. Very good graphics. You can even see the faint reflection of the backglass on the playfield. The scrolling is excellent just as your eye would follow the ball around the playfield. There is a slight problem is during multiball as the scrolling ends. but that is a problem in realife when you are trying to keep your eye on multiple play levels.
The movement of the ball is obviously guided by physics formulas with gravity ,elevation of playfield, friction and such.
This will be the best 2 rolls of quarters you ever spent on pinball.
Way to go Crave Entertainment!
Fun game but graphics are horribleJanuary 4, 2009 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
While the collection of games is good and the gameplay is amazingly realistic (the physics), the graphics are not up to the standard of the tables or the games. The graphics are fuzzy (yes, I do have the best cables and a large HD display) and, as a result, it is often difficult to know where the ball is going and, more importantly, just what is there to shoot at (unless you already know the tables intimately from your past life). Also, annoyingly, the view often zooms in on the upper part of the table while the ball is in play up there and then does not react quickly enough, zooming back, for you to know where the ball is coming relative to your flippers. Overall the gameplay is addictive and fun, but the graphics are enough of a bummer to take away from the experience. If they had a version with better definition graphics, this would certainly be a winner for me. As it is, I have fun playing but wonder how much better it would be if I could actually see what I was doing. Imagine wearing "beer goggles" while trying to play and you get the idea.
Amazing!January 1, 2009 My 60+ year old father and I can not stop playing this game. We have had our wii console for over a year now and this is the first game he has showed an actual interest in.
I highly recommend this game for Wii players of ALL ages!
