NOT for channel surfers!August 25, 2008 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
A good TV overall, but a VERY annoying "feature" is the large, on-screen information display that obscures the screen every time the channel is changed. This display cannot be disabled and is very annoying when channel surfing.
great, small TVAugust 2, 2008 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I like this flat screen TV very much. I am very disappointed that this size TV has been discontinued. I needed a 15" square shaped TV because of limitations on dimensions where I was installing the TV. I am sure many other consumers may have the same issues. All new 15" TV's are actually a minimum of 18" wide which was not a dimension my space could handle. I actually had to purchase a refurbished TV so I am concerned that its lifespan maybe short. I know manufacturers are basing their dimensions on wide screen formatting. Too bad for those of us who have a hole to fill that is not suited for widescreen.
Perfect for my kitchenJuly 9, 2007 33 out of 33 found this review helpful
What a surprise to open and set up in 20 mins. And with the built in digital tuner, I didn't need a cable box. Just snagged all the digital channels coming through my cable (at no extra cost). Unfortunately, in the channel set up it also grabbed all these music channels too.
You do NOT want to use this to listen to music. Built in speakers are average for regular TV, and lousy for music. But hey! I bought it for the kitchen.
The only disadvantage so far is the power transformer that you have to have laying around somewhere. Otherwise the "footprint" is minimal.
Picture quality is fine and of course digital is great.
Magnavox 15MF237S 15" LCD HDTVJune 11, 2007 26 out of 28 found this review helpful
Picture quality was excellent, set-up was a breeze, remote easy to use, sound quality is fine for a small set like this. I'm very happy with the Magnavox thus far and would be happy to refer to others!

The 5.1 channel home-theater-in-a-box system features five tiny speakers - each about the size of a golf ball. The system, matched with a compact, single disc DVD/CD player/receiver, includes a unique subwoofer that helps the tiny speakers create sounds typically reserved for full size speakers.
While the system features small speakers, it packs all the power of conventional home theater-in-a-box systems with 450 watts of total system power (satellite speakers 50W x 5, plus 2-way subwoofer 100W x 2). The system is specially tuned to deliver a natural sound field that takes the focus off the subwoofer while supplementing mid range and lower frequencies.
