This is a wonderful tv that I've had for nearly a year. The built-in speakers are great quality and LOUD! Volume goes up to 40, but I keep it around 12. You can also set it for lower max volume if you don't want your kids turning it up too loud. It has smart sound so it doesn't get excessively loud when shows go to commercials. The picture is great and bright.. very bright. Performs well while watching high speed scenes on dvd or tv. You can set it to come on and turn off certain times at certain volumes once or daily. Definitely a good choice when looking for a new tv. JVC is a good brand and when looking for a well priced hdtv that will last make sure you know the brand. I kiss my wife for this gift every time we sit down and watch it.

If you want an LCD TV at a budget price with a super picture then buy this JVC. Easy set up, lightweight, comes with a stand. My friend has a high dollar Sharp and I really can't see the difference that justifies the extra $$$$'s.
