DOADecember 2, 2008 Mine was dead within 5 minute of being attached to the computer after charging. The screen turned blue and the seller wanted to have it checked. I just wanted a refund. Not another product who which should have been checked when it was mailed to me.
It was purchased for a kid who did not need a big multi gig for xmas.
I would not accept this player free if reconditioned and DOA. It could be a good product I'll never know as it's not heavy enough to use as a paper weight.

iPod Family up for Adoption, Welcome the SansasNovember 25, 2008 I have been always an iPod user. I have owned 12 iPods in my lifetime and after awhile I got tired of them dying and how expensive they are compared to others. I came across this because of its price and the great 4.6 out of 5.0 reviews. I took my chance and boy I sure glad I did. I got something that offered so much more at a fraction of the cost of an iPod Nano. This has great video, sound is awesome, and the feature I use the most is now the recorder. I used to take my tape recorder to school so if I pass out, I have back up. Now I just put the sansa on recording and picks up VERY WELL. I sit about 4 rows (11ft away) and it picks up my old fart professor talking. FM Radio works great, and pictures are fine. Haven't tired audiobooks but will give a follow up.

This is a great MP3 playerNovember 23, 2008 My first one didnt work to well, so I sent it back. Had my replacement in 2 days.I have been downloading ever since. Its drag and drop feature is awesome. It makes everything so easy a monkey could work it. Dont get me wrong some features are a bit of a pain like having to convert your images over to download. but other than that it is well worth the price...actually I think that you are getting a darn good product for the price,,,,get used or refurbished. a new one is too expensive! I bought a 2 gig refurbished. its great you will really enjoy. oh yeah i only paid 24.99
