Alternative to retail store rip-offs!November 10, 2008 This kit was just what I needed at like 1/2 the price of what I found at Best Buy and Circuit City. The quality is just as good. I personally think this is nicer also than the ones at Target and WalMart, too. The power cable is BIG so if you're new to these kits take seriously the task of running it through the firewall. I had to use lubricant on the cable to pull it through the bushing.
The only problem I had was with the battery terminal connector. My truck has a large, complicated factory fuse box mounted on the positive terminal which gave me fits with the connector that came with the kit. Wish they had included two or three types to choose or something, but the price was low so it's no problem. I finally got it to work and the Nissan dealer said he liked it.
One other thing: save extra $$ on RCA cables with Hosa. They can be found at guitar/pro audio stores or here: HOSA DUAL RCA - DUAL RCA, 6m (20 ft.) STANDARD NICKLE-PLATED. MUCH cheaper than the car stereo brands and of good quality.
