Western Digital My Passport Essential 160 GB USB 2January 9, 2009 I could not figure out how to get this device to work. It kept freezing up with partial page views visible. When the device was frozen, my computer ran very slow. I left it running over night and in the morning it was still frozen. I also had difficulty getting the device to stop. The "Safely Remove Hardware" icon also seemed to be frozen. Very frustrating.

So Good So FarJanuary 7, 2009 So good so far.... I haven't used this one much yet but I have another WD hard drive that I've been using for a few years now with no complaints. The other drive is the same as this one just a smaller capacity. I bought the 320 to replace my Seagate 320 that crashed after less than a year of ownership.... POS! I've talked to several people who have had the same problem with Seagate hard drives.
