NiceFebruary 5, 2008 Man, i bought this speakers system for $2.88. I wanted it so i could take it to work so that i didn't have to listen to the radio. They have awsome sound for the price. Convenient fold up design makes them perfect for work, if you are on vacation, or if you are at a friends house who doesn't have a way to hook up a mp3 player. Can be battery powered by battery if there isn't an A/C outlet around. Only down side is it dose not come with a A/C power cord.($2.88 Can't complain) Uses a 1/8 headphone type jack to plug in to your player. Bad thing about that is the jack cord is short and you have too remove it from your player if you want to change the song.(Because the base that holds your devise is small and it's hard to use the mp3 players controls unless you take it out.
Still, great price, good sound, very portable. If this is what your looking for, I recomend it.
1st one melted, 2nd works greatSeptember 16, 2007 See title........1st unit's battery compartment, smoked and melted at contact points, YIKES. Notified vendor and they RUSHED a replacement to me. Works great. Fantastic sound for a ridiculously cheap price. Yes, your iPod/MP3 player is running on its own battery , big deal, whadcha want for $4-$6???????

Sometimes the iPod's headphones/earbuds just won't do (especially if you are sharing the music with others).
Compared to other iPod accessories, the Digilife Fold-Up Compact Speakers are very cheap. But the quality is a little better than what you'd expect. Depending on the environment, the sound is good -- like a small portable radio. It's easy to pack, and adds much to the car or the hotel room or the campsite!
...I'm listening to them at work right now. The speakers are fabulous!July 10, 2007 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
As I bobbed my head along to the rich, clear, and loud beats from these speakers, I decided it's only fair to write a review for them.
They sound just as good as my HP entertainment laptop speakers, as they deliver almost the same volume as my laptop. The other thing I like about the digilife speakers is that they have low distortion; you don't get the tinny/scratchy noise unless you turn the volume all the way up.
These speakers are so portable, I can fit them into my purse so that I can use them whenever a good music opportunity may arise.
There are two things I do not like about the speakers, however. First, it doesn't come with an AC adapter. That would come in handy when my AAA batteries die. Nonetheless, the battery life on the speakers seems to be quite good. Second, the speakers have a little blue light on top near the power button. The light stays lit when the the speaker power is on, and it's annoying to see the blue light shining if I'm in a dark room.
Despite these minor flaws, if you're trying to decide if these speakers are too cheaply-priced to waste your time buying them, let me just say: buy them! For the price, they are certainly well worth it.
***A tip to get the best sound from the speakers is to turn the volume on your iPod all the way up, and then adjust the speaker volume to whatever you prefer.
Its amazing speaker for the price!June 9, 2007 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
