Amazon.com Product Description Weighing a mere 3.9 ounces, the DT-210V is small enough to fit in a shirt or jacket pocket and powerful enough to deliver TV audio (channels 2 to 13) and PLL-synthesized AM/FM stereo radio. A built-in speaker affords headphones-free listening, and 90-minute auto shut-off lets you fall asleep to the radio without fear of waking up to dead batteries.
You get 25 memory presets (and auto scan) to help you zip right to preferred stations. The radio comes with stereo ear buds and a removable belt clip, as well as a trailing antenna. DBB (Deep Bass Boost) enhances the sonic low end, while a stereo-mono switch improves reception when needed. Measuring a mere 1.5 by 3 by 0.6 inches, the unit runs on two AAA batteries (not included). A low-battery indicator offers a helpful hint on when it's wise to carry replacements.
Great little radio with only one flawDecember 31, 2008 I had the previous version of this radio and left it in a hotel room. After trying a Radio Shack product, I got tired of using up batteries so fast and bought the DT-210V. It is easy on the two AAA batteries and has a 90-min cutoff, which is good for me because I like to listen to late night chatter and tend to fall asleep. My only problem, a somewhat minor one, is that the scan buttons are too close together and if I want to jump from one preset station to another, the same scan buttons have to be activated by another switch, located at the top on the right hand side. This is awkward, especially in bed in the dark. It also draws in distant stations better than my Radio Shack radio (which cost about the same).
SWEET!!December 29, 2008 I purchased this as a christmas gift for a special friend. He likes to listen to sports games and radio while there's downtime at work. It helps relax him. This radio is great, it only uses 2 AAA batteries, its small (can discreetly fit in pocket)and sounds very good. I have no regrets of this purchase. Its exactly what I had in mind and better yet he really liked it. Awwwwwww
Handy radio/TV soundDecember 27, 2008 I listen to the radio about 4-5 hours per day. This small, handy radio provides good sound reproduction of AM, FM and TV. Has it's own speaker or you can use with headphones. This is a quality product.
Pass on this one...December 3, 2008 I compared many items online looking for a portable FM tuner which I have come to rely on with my Nokia phone while dog walking every day. I bought this to take the place of my new phone without an FM tuner. Very disappointed in the sound, size, ability to lock in stations, nothing comes in on TV tuner at all, and the buttons to move to favorite stations are goofy. If this was a $25 item I would say it is worth it but not at this price. After I bought it, I was at Target and saw many options that were actually MP3 Players with FM tuners that would have worked as well for less money even though I don't own any music to download! Live & Learn. No complaints about the vendor that sold it to me though, they had the best price out there.
The Sangean DT-210V radioNovember 30, 2008 I've had my Sangean pocket sized radio a couple months and so far I like it a lot better then the Sony Walkman radios I've been buying for several years. I'm hard hearing so I like it that it has more volume when I'm outside working. My Sonys would start working on only one side of the ear phones. Then after awhile no matter how new the ear phones were it still only worked on one side. I used a set of the old ear phones that only worked on one ear with the Sony on my new Sangean and both sides worked. The Sony volume control button freqently comes off and gets lost. Very irrating. They've been that way for several years. No such problem with the Sangean.I also like the removal belt holder on the Sangean better then the one on the Sony.Yesterday I ordered another Sangean, for my wife.
