Customer Reviews:
This cable doesn't work with the new MacBooks!January 2, 2009 The item profile says this cable is compatible with MacBooks, but it does not work with the newest MacBooks, which use a mini display port! Also, my order did not come with an HDMI cable. Buyer beware.
included HDMI cable makes this a stealJanuary 1, 2009 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Plugged the adaptor into my Macbook and connected to my HDTV's input. Had to do ZERO configuration. I just switched to the correct input channel on my TV and my Mac desktop popped up immediately, already perfectly set to the TVs resolution. Within 10 minutes I was watching a streaming Netflix movie from the comfort and relative safety of my sofa. If you're on a recent Mac, fire up Front Row and you've basically got an Apple TV, and you can watch rented iTunes movies, movie trailers, photo slide shows, etc.
Be aware that HDMI doesn't carry audio, so you'll have to and run your audio output into your stereo, home theater setup, or your TV. This can be done cheaply with a 1/8" to RCA adaptor -- or, better yet, an optical cable if your computer and other equipment are so equipped.
The included HDMI cable (which are often vastly overpriced) makes this a no-brainer. (It's a DIGITAL signal, and it either works or it doesn't, unlike an analog signal. Blowing $100 on a Monster Cable is just a waste of money.)
Hook up your MAC to your TV/Flat screenDecember 31, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I'm going to keep this simple. For 20.00 you can hook up your late model MAC (MacBook in my case) to your flatscreen. You do not need to get mini-dvi to dvi to HDMI as most of the forums recommend. Get this and I personally got the 10ft HDMI cable and set up the television as a dual monitor setup. Very Cool. If you have surround sound I would recommend getting the Toslink to optical mini-adapter as it is super easy to hook up your mac to surround sound also. It actually sounds better than cable and DVD's in my opinion. BTW, this item is plug and play. I did not have to set up anything software wise.

Item received in timely manor. Appears to be well made. Only 'disappointment' is that picture shows HDMI to HDMI cable as white while I received a black cable. Not really a big issue, just aesthetics.
