Non ArrogantApril 1, 2008 The FM Transmitter on this player is really cool. Some, but not all, of the persons who gave the poor reviews obviously had no appreciation for the music player. They have gotten an Apple iPod Nano or V-Pod for free. Since they did not pay for it, it is easy to lose appreciation for items taken for granted.
But for those without an MP3 player, what is the difference? Especially when this is a gift.
Never buy like this cheap itemAugust 31, 2007 This is very cheap item. I recommend to everybody never buy this item. two times i changed the item and still i could not catch the work one. You have always problem with the seller also. There is no Manufacturer's information if some problem occur you can not fix it even under warranty, because nobody knows manufacturer information, even SELLER!!!!.
Piss-poorApril 7, 2007 I bought this item knowing what I was getting into, a 2gb mp3 player with color lcd display, video playback, for under 100$? Yeah, it's not going to work 'well'. It was exactly what I expected, and I wouldn't have been disappointed, I didn't need something that was easy to use or that would last me a lifetime. What I did expect, and what I didn't get, was one that *worked*. As soon as I unplugged it from it's power source, I could not get it to turn on. I knew figuring it out and getting used to the controls would be "an adventure", and I was sort of okay with that, but I DID expect it to work, which it did not. I sent it back and am now awaiting a replacement, it could've been just a bad battery. What can you say? Cheap product, cheap parts.
Don't let the ipod look fool youMarch 31, 2007 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I got this MP3 player as a cheap alternative to the ipod nano. I own a 1 GB ipod nano which I won in a raffle last fall, and I have grown quite fond of it. I also own a 20 GB Dell Jukebox which I like as well, but I have found that the ipod is nicer to use at my job. So I was looking for something like the ipod, but with more memory, and this player fit the bill. And it does look exactly like an ipod. The box it came in even looks exactly like the box the nano is packaged in. But that is where the similarities end. First of all, that is not a click wheel on the front. The buttons are just arranged in a circle to look like a click wheel. Navigation is extremely cumbersome. I just can't imagine a worse operating system for an MP3 player. It is extremely difficult to get to a particular artist or song and if you then want to change the song, you may have to click through 25 screens to get to the song you want. This is of course contigent on the artist name and song having less than 12 characters because this is all the screen displays. So unless you are intimately familiar with placing of the song on the player, finding a particular song is kind of hit and miss. Also the headphone jack is smaller than the ipods therefore you are pretty much stuck using the headphones that come with the player. The headphones are actually fairly similar to the ones that come with the ipod, but I've found the ipods headphones to be remarkably poor. Using alternative headphones with an ipod is pretty much a given, and I have a nice pair that I use. But because of the smaller jack on this player, this isn't an option. Spend the extra money and get a nicer mp3 player.
