Overall a good DVD player for the money. I really like that the battery lasts through 2 movies. We took this on our recent plane trip and the kids were able to watch 2 movies during the 7 hour flight. It is lightweight and it has 2 headphones jacks.

this is a great little dvd player, the wife took it on the plane for a cross country flight and the player worked great, the screen swivled as to keep my son from pressing eject and the battery lasted for the trip. good player.
Solid PortableAugust 25, 2008 The Sony DVP-FX820 is a solid portable. It is well designed with a few highlights; the battery placement on the base is better than a bulky add on to the back, the swivel screen is solid and smooth, the operation buttons on the screen are convenient. The DVD player is fast loading and the high res picture is very bright and accurate. The only con so far (owned 3 months) is that the sound is not crisp. The gain is better than I expected and read about in previous reviews, but when you turn the volume up above 50%, the speakers sound a little stressed and fuzzy. With that being said, I would still recommend this portable.

It is terrific in every way. The screen is smaller than one I had previously had (not a Sony), which began to cease loading discs after about 9 months unless I kept my hand on the disc cover. The smaller screen loses nothing - it is lovely.

Researched this product at Best Buy and liked it. Found it at Amazon for around $50 cheaper. Loved the fast shipping! Super clear picture, easy to use, sound is great. Sony is the best for sure! Puts the others to shame with the quality of this unit. Really good buy!
