Taking into account that this thing is made with 1" HDF, (rather than 1/2" MDF like most other manufacturers) has a gorgeous finish and there was plenty of praise by other owners I thought that $500 was extremely fair, especially considering that they pay for shipping both ways and give an upgrade to you for the difference if the particular speaker you bought isn't enough.

The 10" Aperion sub is powerful, clear, and a perfect complement to my 5 and 6 series bookshelves. For the price, you won't find a better product. Even much more expensive subs dont give you the rich, deep bass that can fill my medium sized room.

200 Watt High Power Amplifier

The S-10 will lavish your room with expansive depth and power. How? With 200 room-rattling watts of continuous class A/B power. The amplifier comes standard with line level and speaker level inputs/outputs, low pass crossover adjustment, phase adjustment, auto on/off switching, 110/220-volt switch, and a detachable power cord. Enjoy room-filling sound and the occasional noise complaint from the people next door.

Anti-Resonant Cabinet

Every Aperion cabinet is made of rock solid 1-inch thick High Density Fiberboard (HDF) to eliminate unwanted cabinet vibrations, effectively muting the walls of the speaker, ensuring that the only voice you hear is coming from your CD or DVD.

Asymmetrical Internal Bracing System

Warning: standing waves are not welcome. The Aperion MODEL employs a 1” HDF cabinet with an internal, asymmetric bracing system that brings standing waves and resonance to near extinction.

High Level Inputs and Outputs

Hook your new subwoofer up to any receiver! If you don’t have a sub-out connection on your receiver, you can use speaker level connections to run your subwoofer. Aperion subs and speakers connect directly to your A/V receiver or amplifier via the five-way binding posts.

Line Level Inputs and Outputs

Every Aperion subwoofer comes standard with a line level input that connects to any receiver’s sub-out. The line output on your sub is able to send a bass-managed signal back to your amplifier.

Floor Spikes and Footers

Included with each S-10 subwoofer is a set of brass floor spikes and footers. The spikes give you tighter bass by decoupling the cabinet from the floor. The included footers also protect your hardwood surfaces from any dents or scratches the spikes might make.
